After practice Monday, Oregon coach Mark Helfrich met with the media and discussed the recent rulings that were made by the NCAA to end satellite camps. Helfrich said that the Oregon coaching staff was in favor of the satellite camp rule, even thought the PAC-12 ended up voting against it. Another ruling that seemed to not go to Coach Helfrich’s liking was the new texting rule, that allows all NCAA coaches to have an unlimited amount of contact with high school recruits through texting. While Helfrich sounded disappointed the camp ruling did not go in the Ducks favor, the ruling that Helfrich seemed to disagree with the most was the new texting rule.

More on what Coach Helfrich had to say can be found in Ryan Thorburn’s article HERE.
