UPDATE:
Ifo Ekpre-Olomu told the Miami Herald that he is now participating in all football drills for the first time since his knee surgeries. Los Angeles Rams and Dodgers team doctor Neal ElAttrache, who performed the surgeries, said he could have given Ekpre-Olomu full clearance last month, but wanted to ensure that he was able to go through all offseason drills before committing to full medical clearance.
Ekpre-Olomu is only playing his 2nd day of football in the last 17 months, and is still working on relearning the game, getting up to game speed, and learning a new defensive scheme from the one he worked with in Cleveland. Part of the training that he is going through is an extra 15 minutes of pre-practice workouts to ensure his leg doesn’t stiffen and risk another injury. The Miami Herald reported that Ekpre-Olomu is working in multiple secondary positions thus far in Miami’s OTAs, and that he hopes to be back to full speed and strength by the time minicamp starts.

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, Oregon’s former consesus all-American cornerback, who injured his knee prior the the Rose Bowl in 2015, has been granted full medical clearance by the Miami Dolphins.
Ekpre-Olomu hasn’t seen the field since Oregon’s Civil War victory in 2014, and was once considered a first round draft pick prior to his injury, that reportedly was a ruptured ACL and dislocated kneecap. He was eventually drafted by the Browns in the seventh round with the hopes that he could rehab and see the field last season, but the team eventually placed him on the reserve/non-football injury list in September.
The Browns waived him in April, but the Dolphins quickly snatched him up. Reports say they beat out the Steelers, Bills, and Saints for his services.
Ekpre-Olomu’s clearance means he can return to the practice field and fully participate in the offseason for the first time in his career.
