Our Eugene Emeralds are Northwest League Champions for the first time in 41 years!
We at 95.3 The Score are so proud and happy to be able to have brought you every pitch for this historic season, and want to send a special shoutout to Allan Benavides and the rest of his team for making history in Lane County by bringing home the trophy and raising the W.

Below is our original post from earlier in the season
The Eugene Emeralds playing hardball every Summer is a Lane County institution. Burgers and dogs, cold beverages, family, and Em’s baseball – you can’t get more Summer than that.
And, oh by the way, the Emeralds are now the short-season Class A team of the Chicago Cubs, which happens to be the best team in the big leagues. So before you see the stars who could lead the Cubs to their first World Series title since the Ottoman Empire, you can see them earn their stripes every day out at PK Park.
And, of course, if you can’t make it out to the park, it’s our pleasure to bring you every single Emeralds game right here on 95.3 The Score. And on top of that Sports Talk host Steve Tannen will be giving away tickets to games all season, so make sure to tune in every weekday from 3-6 for your chance.
